Can I Keep You?

A stroll through the orchard,
unaware
that I'm with you.
Counting every footstep
my habit of pursuit.

Too easy to reach you,
in these trees where
I roam.
Did no one ever teach you
to never walk alone?

All those white flowers,
pinned through your hair
are no rival to your beauty,
more than enough to share!

Can I keep you, darling?
Won't you stay with me?
A love lasting eternally
as my crimson masterpiece.

Lay you down
confess my love.
Incision
 where your soul
sleeps,
to see what you're
made of.

How those muddy eyes twinkle
with amorous tears,
your screams,
like a serenade of whimpers,
a desperate symphony.

 Futile plea
in your eyes
entombed.
Macabre passion,
both of us consumed.

Rest in pieces
behind the glass
our bond will not be severed.
Beholding beauty,
 a work of art,
 the only way love
can last forever.
