Son of The Morning

Dear Beloved One
with Heaven's light,
burning behind my eye.
I think I have had enough
of
your venomous good-byes.

Allow me to DEMONstrate
how foul it is to play
with other's hearts
and other's faiths
when you never planned to stay.

Could I sing my song
for the FALLEN hero
I used to know;
Who's lie follows me
everywhere I go?

If those hymns still
dwelled inside
 this love-sick heart of mine
then I'd sing my song to death
so loud,
he'd take me home tonight.

No
I'm trapped
with only skeletons
of shallow thoughts and
useless dreams
about an angel
who took my love
and then abandoned me.

NeverPlace

there's a place I can't remember,
but I wish I was there.
A Never Place where embers,
fall and summer raindrops flare.

this place beyond desire,
between leaps-of-faith and foresight,
where nothing is make believe
and human essence,
can take flight.

Sands of Time

These unforgiving sands of time,
engrave scars across her face.
Fate becomes her enemy,
protecting desires she cannot chase.

Echoes of yesterday,
the girl tries to expel,
illustrate the certainty,
there's no fortune in wishing wells.
Nothing more than endless holes,
filled with dreams, she cannot sell.

He Promises Me Forever

He's here again,
my charming friend,
the one who finds me hiding
when I let the darkness in.

I'd never have believed it,
if you told me,
back when the truth was free.
that I'd never really be alone
because death is
in love with me.

Can I Keep You?

A stroll through the orchard,
unaware
that I'm with you.
Counting every footstep
my habit of pursuit.

Too easy to reach you,
in these trees where
I roam.
Did no one ever teach you
to never walk alone?

All those white flowers,
pinned through your hair
are no rival to your beauty,
more than enough to share!

Can I keep you, darling?
Won't you stay with me?
A love lasting eternally
as my crimson masterpiece.

Lay you down
confess my love.
Incision
 where your soul
sleeps,
to see what you're
made of.

How those muddy eyes twinkle
with amorous tears,
your screams,
like a serenade of whimpers,
a desperate symphony.

 Futile plea
in your eyes
entombed.
Macabre passion,
both of us consumed.

Rest in pieces
behind the glass
our bond will not be severed.
Beholding beauty,
 a work of art,
 the only way love
can last forever.

Mediocre Steps

Barely getting through the day,
sleep away,
the falling sands.
Singing lies under your breath,
ignoring circumstance.

Mediocre steps,
average strides toward the sky,
no speed to get you off the ground,
How can you hope to fly?

Watch a Flower wilt,
while the Sun burns away,
Simply Knowing how dreams are built,
Won't save the foundation,
before it breaks.

Anybody but ME

Someone who knows how to act,
doesn't over-react,
and NEVER stumbles over, "Hi."

Someone who falls asleep fast,
doesn't relive the past,
no regret, in their chest,
at night

Someone who can walk tall,
like
it's nothing at all,
Someone who likes to be seen.

I just wanna be
Anybody...

Anybody but ME.

Yesterday

Sometimes when it's dark,
she'll say,
 "I had a vision,
of yesterday.
It was pleasant at first,
until the pain,
of remembering,
a Hero,
who couldn't stay.

There are no words,
to describe this ache,
which steals my voice,
and makes me shake.
I know too well,
just what's at stake.
My hero's heart
would surely break.
If he learned the truth,
eighteen years too late.

About the One he couldn't save,
and why she always runs away.
What she hides, and doesn't say,
would make him regret,
going away."

Then again the Hero,
is not the same.
As the One, she recalls,
from yesterday.
Maybe he'd look at the girl
and say,
"I don't care about your pain."
which would surely,
lacerate.
The girl's will to live,
and decimate,
Her treasured visions,

of  Yesterday.

Searching For Silver

I try to see,
The lining bleed,
Silver in the clouds.

But living shadows,
And raging storms,
Weigh me down,
Until I drown.
Even in the shallow end,
Of love I strain,
For breath because,
I’m bound.

Regret ties me down,
My screams make no sound.
Hope runs away
and once again,
I’m searching
For silver in the clouds.
